Alba's range gives a small party meaningful choices without a large change in vehicle size: the decision is chiefly about passenger space and where everyone will sleep. The most useful distinctions are between the layouts, rather than a long ladder of vehicle sizes or luxury levels. That makes the offer appealing for a trip built around straightforward camping, provided the chosen arrangement works for the whole party at night as well as during the day.

- Distance does not add a mileage bill.Unlimited mileage is part of the rental offer, so a longer driving itinerary does not incur a per-mile rental charge.
- Helpful handovers and follow-up.Helpful staff recur in a bounded sample of ten Edinburgh-area customer accounts: four on Outdoorsy from May–July 2026 and six on Trustpilot from April 2024–June 2025. One June 2026 account describes assistance after a battery failure on the last day. That supports a positive view of the response to a problem, without implying every rental is trouble-free.

Plus adds rear travel seating while retaining a double bed. Roof Tent combines an interior double with an upper double for four adults. The eight-seat option uses a different arrangement: three adults sleep in the roof tent, and the rear kitchen is removable. Its folding passenger seats do not add to that sleeping capacity.
The equipment lists include cooking utensils, an insulated cool box, a pumped sink with removable water container, outdoor table and chairs, USB connections and a hookup lead. The cool box should not be confused with a powered refrigerator. Vehicle colour can vary within a category.

Roof Tent Automatic Campervan has two double sleeping areas: one inside and one above. Its five travel seats do not increase the four-person sleeping capacity.
Does Alba's eight-seat van also sleep eight?
No. The 8 Seat Automatic has eight belted travel seats but sleeping space for three adults in its roof tent. Folding the passenger seats does not establish extra berths.
Do Alba's campers have an indoor toilet?
Alba describes the offer as having no inside toilet. A portable toilet and separate privacy cubicle can be added for £15 and £10 per trip respectively; these are not built-in bathroom facilities.
Is the £750 security hold the most I could pay for damage?
No. The £750 hold applies to accepted drivers aged 25–75, but Alba's terms allow liability to exceed the held sum. Uninsured damage and chargeable tyre damage remain separate from the refundable hold.
Can I take an Alba camper to the Scottish islands or Ireland?
