Big Sky Campers is the trading name of Edinburgh Campervans Ltd, an independent rental business operating from Rosyth. Customers book directly with the company and choose from individually named campervans.
The owners trace the idea to a VW bought for their own use in 2015 and subsequently rented to friends. That personal starting point developed into a rental range centred on Volkswagen conversions. The present offer brings together T6.1 and T7 pop-tops with Harry, a larger Crafter, while two Ford additions are advertised for March 2027.

- Room to change the driving plan.Unlimited mileage and permission to take the camper to the Scottish islands make distance less of a constraint when planning a longer trip. Travel beyond the UK requires a separate arrangement.

- A named booking can still change.Big Sky Campers may substitute another vehicle if the booked van is unavailable. An individual van name is useful for choosing a layout, but it is not an unconditional promise of that exact vehicle.
- Allow for more than the £1,000 hold.Damage to the interior or equipment and uninsured losses can create liability beyond the amount held at pickup. Budgeting for the security deposit alone does not account for that risk.

The current VW range combines compact pop-tops with one larger bathroom-equipped design. All of these options are automatic, but the living arrangements differ enough to make the individual vehicle worth considering.
The T6.1 campervans sleep four across two double beds, including a roof bed. Flora adds a fifth travel seat without adding a fifth sleeping place. Its swivelling double front passenger seat also differs from Bonnie's single swivelling passenger seat. These are useful distinctions when the number travelling does not match the number sleeping in the van.
The T7s add solar charging for the leisure battery alongside a gas hob, fridge/freezer, heating and a side awning. Solar does not make every appliance independent of campsite power: the air fryer and UK mains sockets require an electrical hook-up. That distinction matters more to an overnight plan than the solar label alone.
Harry changes the balance between cabin space and campsite facilities. Its fixed rear double and roof double provide four adult sleeping places, with a built-in toilet and hot shower inside the van. Solar and lithium power, an 85-litre water supply, induction cooking and satellite internet make it the more self-contained option within the present range. Those facilities do not grant permission to drive off road.

Does Big Sky Campers have a campervan with its own toilet and shower?
Yes. Harry, the VW Crafter, has a built-in toilet and an indoor hot shower. The current T6.1 and T7 pop-tops have no built-in toilet; Flora includes a portable solar shower and Bonnie offers one on request.
Can five people travel and sleep in Flora?
Flora has five travel seats but sleeps four. A group of five would need a separate sleeping arrangement for one person; the extra seat does not create an extra berth.
Are all Big Sky Campers vans dog-friendly?
No. Bonnie and Corry are kept dog-free. Most other vans accept one well-behaved dog of medium size or smaller, without a pet supplement, although extra cleaning or damage can still be charged.
Can I collect a Big Sky Campers van at Inverkeithing station?
The vehicle pickup base is in Rosyth. Inverkeithing station and Ferry Toll Park & Ride are local transfer meeting points, so a transfer from either still leads to collection at the depot.
Will the solar panels run everything in a Big Sky Campers T7?

When do Magnus and Sorcha join the rental range?

Does choosing a named van guarantee that exact vehicle?
