Company overview
Fraserway’s roots lie in the camper-manufacturing business that Erdman Epp acquired in Abbotsford in 1969. His son James took over in 1983 and subsequently developed the company’s own rental operation. The company describes itself as an Epp-family business; its rental network now reaches from British Columbia and the Yukon to Quebec and Nova Scotia.
The Canadian depots operate under the Fraserway RV rental identity. Four Seasons RV Rentals is a separate division within the same business, with its own rental offer. A Four Seasons vehicle or booking should not be treated as a Fraserway rental simply because the two share a corporate relationship.

Fraserway gives the vehicle choice real substance: its range extends from relatively compact two-person options to motorhomes for larger groups, with several truck-camper configurations in between. The rental works best when the vehicle, route and package are planned together. Choosing a category is only part of the decision; distance, protection and collection arrangements also shape what the trip will cost and how it can run.
The preparation process combines advance check-in and vehicle guidance with an in-person handover. Rental customer accounts from several Canadian bases include praise for clear explanations and helpful staff, alongside reports of equipment problems and uneven follow-up. That supports a positive but qualified assessment of the service, rather than an expectation of the same experience at every depot.
Good points
- Several ways to choose a truck camper.Fraserway offers standard and slide-out truck-camper formats. This gives the range more depth than a single pickup-based option, with different arrangements for couples and parties needing additional sleeping space.
- Useful regional one-way connections.The network supports approved journeys between western Canadian bases and between Toronto, Montréal and Halifax, as well as the Edmonton–Whitehorse pairing. These links can remove the need to retrace a long drive, provided the requested vehicle and direction are available.
Things to consider
- Whitehorse has a different protection limit.The additional CDW option is unavailable on rentals starting in Whitehorse. Travellers collecting there cannot assume that the lowest covered-damage liability offered elsewhere can be purchased for their booking.
- Some city stops need a different plan.The contract prohibits leaving the vehicle unattended in Montréal, Quebec City, Ottawa and New York. This can rule out parking the RV while everyone goes sightseeing, and a breach can affect protection.

The fleet spans compact campers, pickup-mounted accommodation and larger Class C motorhomes, with a particularly broad choice of truck campers. The most useful distinction is how each layout handles beds, living space and facilities, rather than how many passengers its seat belts could accommodate.
For two people, Van Conversion combines a convertible sofa bed with a compact campervan body and an exterior shower. B+ Premium offers rear twin beds or a king-bed arrangement and remains a two-person rental despite its additional dinette. The standard Truck Camper places the main bed above the pickup cab; Slide Dinette adds living space through a slide-out. Slide Bunk has a larger overcab bed and an additional electric bunk, whose occupant limit is 70 kg.
Scout takes a simpler approach, with a portable toilet and a gravity-fed water system. Its petrol engine and separate diesel heater serve different purposes. It should not be chosen on the assumption that it provides the same bathroom facilities as the larger truck campers.
The Class C range progresses from C-Small to the longer C-XLarge, with differences in bed arrangements, living space and equipment. C-Medium, C-Large and C-XLarge offer separate showers; the larger two also have slide-outs. C Run of Fleet is an allocation option within Class C, with the model and layout revealed at departure. It is sold for four travellers, including two adults and two children; the allocated vehicle may have a different layout from the example pictured when booking.
Child-seat installation is not offered in Van Conversion, B+ Premium or C-Small. For other categories, the actual seating arrangement and installation need confirmation; a dinette seat used for a child restraint can affect the space available to other passengers. Four-wheel drive on a truck camper does not override Fraserway’s road restrictions.

Is Fraserway RV the same rental brand as Four Seasons?
No. Four Seasons RV Rentals is a separate division within the same business. Its vehicles, conditions and customer reviews do not describe the Fraserway rental you are considering; use the brand named on the booking.
What does Fraserway’s C Run of Fleet option guarantee?
It is a Class C allocation sold for four travellers, including two adults and two children. The particular model and layout are assigned at departure. Choose it only if you can accommodate a layout decided at collection rather than a particular model.
Can I take a Fraserway Van Conversion or B+ Premium to the Yukon?
No. Both categories are excluded from the Yukon and Northwest Territories, as well as Newfoundland and Labrador. Choosing a truck camper or another category still requires the proposed route to comply with its own restrictions.
Can I get zero covered-damage liability when collecting in Whitehorse?
Fraserway’s additional CDW option is not offered on rentals beginning in Whitehorse. CDR reduces responsibility to CAD 750 per covered incident, but exclusions remain and damage outside that protection can create a greater liability.
Does Family Saver include unlimited kilometres?
No. Family Saver combines preparation, Convenience Kits and CDR, not distance. For the direct offer, mileage is a separate choice; the unlimited option has a minimum charge equivalent to 14 nights. CDW is also separate from Family Saver.
Can Fraserway collect me from a Montréal airport hotel?
The Montréal shuttle does not serve airport hotels. It covers selected downtown and South Shore hotels, so an airport overnight stay requires a separate plan for reaching the depot or an eligible collection point.
Can I collect from Fraserway on the day of a long flight?
The usual rule requires a hotel night first when the flights, including connections, total more than six hours. Whitehorse has a paid same-day exception that must be booked in advance and allows departure up to 19:00. It does not apply automatically at other depots.
Will a Fraserway RV have working taps and a shower in winter?
Not necessarily. From 1 October to 30 April, a vehicle may be winterized according to the forecast, preventing use of its fresh-water system. A heated living area does not make the water system available, so the booked vehicle’s winter setup matters if you need onboard washing facilities.
Can everyone leave the RV to explore Montréal or Quebec City?
Fraserway’s contract does not allow the RV to be left unattended in either city. The same restriction applies in Ottawa and New York, so parking the vehicle while the whole party goes out can breach the rental conditions.
