Bathroom or solar in the Trail Finder range
The two automatic Trail Finder 4+1 versions make an important equipment distinction. The version without a bathroom has solar charging; the Shower/Toilet version adds built-in washing facilities and engine-heated hot water, but has no solar. The bathroom model's roof bed measures 2.00 × 1.37 metres and has a stated combined limit of 200 kg for two adults. The ordinary 4+1 has campsite-mains heating, so its solar equipment does not make that heater independent of a powered campsite.
Trail Finder 2/3 takes a different approach, combining a double bed with an overhead single and a manual gearbox. Its rear heater also needs a 240 V connection. It should not be treated as a smaller copy of either automatic 4+1 category.
Choosing a Bush model
The two-berth Hilux has a 2.00 × 1.90 metre double bed, cold water and a 32-litre fridge without a freezer. The four-berth Triton adds an automatic gearbox, indoor cooking, a larger fridge and an external shower. Bush Challenger uses a manual V8 turbo-diesel Land Cruiser, with an awning and external cooking. Its sleeping layout combines a double and a single bed. The cooking position and wash facilities are useful distinctions when choosing between these three vehicles.
The two Devil options
Devil Finder provides a high-top layout with a double and a single bed, plus a microwave and heater that use mains electricity. Devil Sleepervan is more compact inside: its internal height is 1.35 metres and its double bed measures 1.90 × 1.04 metres. A 12 V cooler and 12-litre water supply suit a simpler setup, without an onboard bathroom or microwave.
